Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>A lawyer, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu, has alleged that nightlife entrepreneur, Obi Cubana, relocated his family to the United Kingdom three years ago, claiming the businessman no longer believes in Nigeria\u2019s future.<\/p>\n

Iwuchukwu, in a post on his Facebook page on Thursday, also made similar claims about Cubana Chief Priest.<\/p>\n

Obi Cubana and Cubana Chief Priest have openly backed President Bola Tinubu for 2027 presidential election after becoming part of the \u2018City Boy Movement\u2019, a pro-Tinubu campaign group.<\/p>\n

However, Iwuchukwu claimed that Obi Cubana moved his family abroad because he considers Nigeria \u201cirredeemable,\u201d while continuing to run businesses in the country and sending money to his family overseas.<\/p>\n

He further accused the businessmen of supporting the \u2018City Boy\u2019 political slogan, alleging that they are backing a government he described as failed while keeping their families outside the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cObi Cubana relocated his family to the UK three years ago.<\/p>\n

\u201cTo him, Nigeria is irredeemable and a carcass, this is why he uprooted his family from here and then sent them away to UK.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe makes money here and then repatriates it to his family living in a sane country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe same applies to Cubana Chief Priest.<\/p>\n

\u201cThese are the same selfish elites shouting \u2018city boy\u2019 up and down, by gaslighting Nigerians that a failed government deserves another chance,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

However, Iwuchukwu noted that it was within their constitutional rights to support any political candidate of their choice. But he urged young Nigerians to respond by boycotting businesses linked to them.<\/p>\n

\u201cIt is also your right as a young person living in Nigeria to boycott their business and stop buying anything they are selling,\u201d he wrote, encouraging Nigerians to \u201cvote with their wallet.\u201d<\/p>\n
