Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Former federal lawmaker, Shehu Sani, has criticised the Federal Government over reports that only N36 million was released for the health sector in the 2025 fiscal year.<\/p>\n

Sani described the development as unfortunate and a sign of unseriousness.<\/p>\n

The former lawmaker, who represented Kaduna Central in the Senate, made the remark on Friday via his verified account on X.<\/p>\n

He said if it was confirmed that just N36 million was released for the health sector in 2025, it would amount to a demonstration of lack of seriousness in addressing critical healthcare needs in the country.<\/p>\n

He added that the Minister of Finance, Wale Edun, should provide a full explanation on the matter.<\/p>\n

Sani wrote: \u201cIf it\u2019s confirmed that only N36 million was released for the health sector in 2025 then it\u2019s unfortunate and a demonstration of lack of seriousness in the health sector.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe finance minister needs to fully respond to this.\u201d<\/p>\n
