National Christian Elders Forum (NCEF) on Sunday descended heavily on President Muhammadu Buhari over the killing of 11 Christians on Christmas Day.<\/p>\n

The Christians were abducted by the Islamic State West Africa Province (ISWAP).<\/p>\n

According to reports, thirteen men were shown in a video pleading for deliverance while eleven were eventually killed.<\/p>\n

Two of the captives were released because they are Muslims while the remaining eleven were presumably killed due to their Christian faith.<\/p>\n

Ten of the Christians were beheaded while the eleventh was shot dead.<\/p>\n

While describing the murder as unwarranted and callous, NCEF said Buhari should be held responsible for the uncontrolled atrocities of ISWAP, Boko Haram and Fulani herdsmen.<\/p>\n

Though Buhari has condemned the killing of those Christians, NCEF said: \u201cIf President Buhari is sincere that Islamic terrorists are \u201cgodless, callous gangs of mass murderers\u201d, he should immediately reorganise the National Security units that are solely in the control of Muslims from the North of Nigeria in compliance with the Federal Character Principle in Section 14(3) of the 1999 Constitution.
