According to the plaintiffs, the amount being demanded represents payment for services rendered during the senator\u2019s campaign activities.<\/p>\n<p>At the sitting, the plaintiffs\u2019 counsel, Barrister Abbas Sani Abubakar Mandawari, presented documents and samples said to demonstrate how the work was carried out. He told the court that further consultations with his clients were necessary to properly organise additional materials and therefore requested more time for verification.<\/p>\n<p>Counsel for the defendant opposed the request, arguing that the plaintiffs appeared unprepared to proceed with substantive arguments. He urged the court to dismiss the suit, contending that the delay suggested a lack of readiness to prosecute the matter diligently.<\/p>\n<p>However, the court declined the application for dismissal, ruling instead that the plaintiffs should be granted additional time to consolidate their filings.
