{"id":195889,"date":"2026-02-23T10:20:36","date_gmt":"2026-02-23T09:20:36","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/wike-can-support-any-political-party-candidate"},"modified":"2026-02-23T11:31:31","modified_gmt":"2026-02-23T10:31:31","slug":"wike-can-support-any-political-party-candidate","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/wike-can-support-any-political-party-candidate","title":{"rendered":"Wike Can Support Any Political Party Candidate"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The National Publicity Secretary of the All Progressives Congress, APC, Felix Morka, says the FCT Minister, Nyesom Wike, has every right to support any candidate regardless of political party.<\/p>\n<p>Morka made this statement on Monday during an interview on Channels Television\u2019s \u2018The Morning Brief\u2019.<\/p>\n<p>He was reacting to how the chairmanship candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in AMAC and Bwari Area Councils stepped down for their All Progressives Congress, APC, rivals in the just concluded FCT Area Council election.<\/p>\n<p>Morka said, \u201cIf Nyesom Wike wants to go on campaigning for any candidate in any party whatsoever, he has the inherent liberty to do so.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWike is a citizen of the Federal Republic of Nigeria who also has freedom guaranteed by the constitution.
