Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Bauchi State Governor, Bala Mohammed has said that the performance of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in the recently concluded council elections in the Federal Capital Territory, FCT placed the party higher than the coalition of opposition leaders.<\/p>\n

The governor, who spoke after meeting with President Bola Tinubu in Aso Rock Villa on Friday, said despite the defections, PDP remains bigger than other opposition parties.<\/p>\n

According to him, despite the litigations and leadership crisis, the party has survived and remains in force for over two decades.<\/p>\n

He said, \u201cPDP is still there, we deserve some accolades for what we did in the FCT. At least, we are bigger than the coalition that is everywhere.<\/p>\n

\u201cPDP is a party that is everywhere and in every ward. It has a brand that has survived over two decades.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur outing in FCT where we won one council chairmanship seat and about sixteen councilors shows that we are moving.<\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m not feeling lonely because I\u2019m in my state to make sure that I sit back and watch how elections are won from the polling units\u201d.<\/p>\n

The African Democratic Congress, ADC, a party housing the coalition of opposition leaders failed to secure any council seat in the last FCT election.<\/p>\n
