A chieftain of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Adamawa State, Abdulrahman Haske has reacted to the defection of Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri into the party.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST recalls that Governor Fintiri, earlier in the week, dumped the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, for the APC.<\/p>\n
Haske has now described the development as a new dawn for the APC in the State, urging for cooperation among both the old and the new party members.<\/p>\n
According to him, the governor\u2019s entry marked a significant political development and \u201cpresents an opportunity for broader collaboration in advancing the developmental interests of Adamawa State\u201d.<\/p>\n
He said the governor and his team were welcomed into the party, adding that \u201cthis moment is one that calls for maturity, unity, and strategic inclusion for our party in the state.\u201d<\/p>\n
The APC chieftain, however, advised that as the political developments unfold, \u201cit is important to recognise the contributions of long-standing stakeholders and aspirants who have laboured tirelessly to build and sustain the party structure across wards and local governments.\u201d<\/p>\n
\u201cTheir commitment forms the backbone of the party\u2019s structure and deserves thoughtful consideration as the party expands.<\/p>\n
\u201cGrowth must go hand in hand with fairness. Therefore, as new entrants join the APC, there is a shared responsibility to ensure transparent internal processes, respect for existing structures, merit-based opportunities, and continuous stakeholder dialogue.<\/p>\n
\u201cInclusion should not replace loyalty; rather, it should harmonise experience with fresh alignment. We, therefore, call on all members \u2014 both longstanding and newly joined \u2014 to embrace calmness, unity, and constructive engagement.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis transition should strengthen the party, not strain it. Through balanced integration and mutual respect, the APC in Adamawa can emerge more united, stable, and prepared to deliver meaningful progress for the people.<\/p>\n
