He indicated that the country contributes approximately a quarter of the world\u2019s newly created green areas and has consistently achieved reductions in desertification.<\/p>\n<p>The ambassador also emphasized China\u2019s leadership in renewable energy, highlighting that it has established the world\u2019s largest renewable energy system and leads globally in solar and wind power capacity.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWe provide more than 80 percent of the world\u2019s photovoltaic components and 70 percent of wind power equipment,\u201d he remarked, characterizing China as both a proponent and an active executor of climate initiatives.<\/p>\n<p>Regarding global collaboration, Yu mentioned that China remains a strong advocate for multilateral strategies and South-South partnerships, especially through programs like the Belt and Road, which fosters green development among partner nations.<\/p>\n<p>He also highlighted the increasing cooperation between China and Africa in terms of environmental sustainability, which encompasses clean energy initiatives, desertification management, and agricultural advancements.
