{"id":197360,"date":"2026-03-22T12:46:34","date_gmt":"2026-03-22T11:46:34","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/uncategorized\/kano-emir-urges-rano-lg-to-relocate-traders-from-hospital"},"modified":"2026-03-22T13:54:46","modified_gmt":"2026-03-22T12:54:46","slug":"kano-emir-urges-rano-lg-to-relocate-traders-from-hospital","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/policy\/kano-emir-urges-rano-lg-to-relocate-traders-from-hospital","title":{"rendered":"Kano Emir Urges Rano LG to Relocate Traders from Hospital"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>The Emir of Rano, Muhammad Isah Umaru, has called on the Rano Local Government Council to relocate traders operating around the Rano General Hospital.<\/p>\n<p>He cited safety concerns over congestion and frequent accidents in the area.<\/p>\n<p>This was contained in a statement signed by the Rano Zonal Information Officer, Abdullahi Musa Gyadi Gyadi.<\/p>\n<p>According to the statement, the Emir made the appeal during his traditional Sallah homage visit to the Rano Local Government Secretariat, where he raised concerns about the risks posed to patients, residents, and visitors.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cIn order to put an end to the problem, we urge the Rano Local Government Council to consider allocating a designated space where traders can be relocated away from the hospital premises,\u201d the Emir said.<\/p>\n<p>He explained that the presence of traders around the hospital has led to traffic congestion and increased the chances of accidents, making the environment unsafe.<\/p>\n<p>Responding, the Chairman of Rano Local Government, Malam Muhammad Naziru Ya\u2019u Rano, represented by the Council Speaker, Alhaji Ahmad Jibrin, assured that the council would look into the issue.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMeasures will soon be deliberated to address the accidents near the hospital,\u201d Jibrin said.<\/p>\n<p>He also revealed plans for improved security collaboration among neighbouring councils.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cRano, Bunkure, and Kibiya Local Government Councils will soon join hands to strengthen security activities, enhancing the safety of lives and properties, especially in light of rising cases of kidnapping and other criminal activities in parts of Kano State,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n<p>Jibrin further sympathised with the people of the Rano Emirate over the recent abduction of the Kibiya Local Government Council Secretary and prayed for his safe return.<\/p>\n<p><strong>For More News And Analysis About <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Nigeria<\/span> Follow <span style=\"color: #ff6600\">Africa-Press<\/span><\/strong><\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
