Africa-Press – Nigeria. <\/strong><\/span>Dr Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, the presidential candidate of the New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) in 2023, who has since resigned from the party and registered with the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has urged Nigerians to regard the forthcoming 2027 general elections as among the most serious in their political lives.<\/p>\n

Kwankwaso, who registered with the ADC at his Miller Road country home on Monday, under registration number 000201, said Nigerians have a duty to free the country from the shackles of misgovernance and to go out on election day with serious-looking faces.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor you to understand what I\u2019m talking about, from today I will not allow anybody to pass the gates of my house without ADC and INEC registered cards; therefore, go out and ensure that you register accurately with our party and INEC,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Speaking, the national chairman of the ADC, Senator David Mark, said the day marks a defining moment in the history of the nation\u2019s democracy. He added that it marks a special day in the journey to make Nigeria a better country and a more united nation.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe stand together today, not just as one political party but as people united to make our dear country, Nigeria, a better nation. Nigeria can be better and must work better for all Nigerians.\u201d<\/p>\n

Mark explained that Kwankwaso is highly welcome, along with millions of his supporters, to the ADC. He said they have come together in unity of purpose, conviction and vision.<\/p>\n

\u201cYour coming to ADC is not merely a political statement; it is a deliberate response to the clarion call by well-meaning Nigerians for all opposition leaders to be united and present a common front to protect our democracy.\u201d<\/p>\n
