A female personnel of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Lagos State, Insp. Basirat Olaonipekun, is dead.<\/p>\n
She passed away after writing her promotion examination.<\/p>\n
NSCDC spokesperson in Lagos, Kehinde Bada, told NAN on Sunday that the deceased wrote the examination at the Ikeja Police College on Friday.<\/p>\n
\u201cShe was ill and came for the promotion examination.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt happened after the examination, she collapsed and was rushed to the police hospital at the College where she was treated but later died,\u201d Bada said.<\/p>\n
The spokesperson added that the personnel had been buried according to Islamic rites.<\/p>\n
She quoted the Lagos commandant, Ayinla Adeyinka, as expressing NSCDC\u2019s condolences to the family.<\/p>\n
