Vice President Yemi Osinbajo is celebrating his 63rd birthday on Sunday, March 8, and as usual, family, friends and political associates are sending in their messages of love and well wishes.<\/p>\n

Celebrating the vice president, the ruling All Progressives Congress applauded him for his partnership with President Muhammadu Buhari.<\/p>\n

The party stated that Osinbajo’s partnership with President Buhari would take Nigeria to the next level of peace, progress and prosperity, This Day reports.<\/p>\n

This was contained in a statement signed by the party’s spokesman, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu.<\/p>\n

The statement read in part: \u201cOn this auspicious day, we salute the patriotism, doggedness and untiring efforts of the Vice President in partnering and assisting President Muhammadu Buhari, in tackling insecurity, fighting corruption and resetting the nation\u2019s economy on the path of growth and development.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe particularly note the Vice President\u2019s massive contributions in the success of the APC-led administration\u2019s Social Investment Programme (SIP), which is reputed to be Africa\u2019s biggest and most ambitious social welfare policy for the most vulnerable in our society.”<\/p>\n

The ruling party also commended Osinbajo for his efficient leadership of the National Economic Council (NEC). According to the party, this has ensured a smooth relationship between the federal and state governments.<\/p>\n

\u201cOur party is not in any doubt that the commendable partnership of the President and the Vice President would take Nigeria to the Next Level of peace, progress and prosperity,\u201d it added.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
