A Federal High Court in Lagos has mandated the attendance of former Governor of Oyo state, Abiola Ajimobi; Waziri Bulama and Paul Chukwuma in the next meeting of the National Executive Council (NEC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC).<\/p>\n
The meeting is expected to hold next week Tuesday.<\/p>\n
In his ruling, the presiding judge, Mohammed Liman, stopped APC from obstructing the trio from carrying out their duties as acting National Deputy Chairman (South), acting National Secretary, and acting National Auditor respectively.<\/p>\n
This development is as a result of an ex parte application filed by the Lagos State Chairman of APC, Tunde Balogun through his lawyer, Gani Bello.<\/p>\n
Mr Balogun asked the court to compel the APC to recognise Mr Bulama as the party\u2019s acting National Secretary; Mr Ajimobi, as the acting National Deputy Chairman (South); and Mr Chukwuma, as the acting National Auditor of the party.<\/p>\n
He argued that the APC National Executive Council cannot operate effectively without the trio.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, Justice Liman granted the prayers. The matter is now adjourned till March 25, 2020 for motion on notice.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
