{"id":22703,"date":"2020-03-17T17:08:30","date_gmt":"2020-03-17T17:08:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=22703"},"modified":"2020-03-17T17:08:30","modified_gmt":"2020-03-17T17:08:30","slug":"super-eagles-coach-rohr-waiting-on-nff-for-new-contract","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/super-eagles-coach-rohr-waiting-on-nff-for-new-contract","title":{"rendered":"Super Eagles coach Rohr waiting on NFF for new contract"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The 66-year-old German tactician only has three months left on his current deal and is yet to get a renewal<br \/>\nSuper Eagles coach Gernot Rohr has stated he is waiting to hear from Nigeria Football Federation on a new contract.<\/p>\n<p>The German tactician\u2019s current deal with the Nigerian football governing body runs out in July and negotiations for renewal have not taken place.<\/p>\n<p>Rohr qualified the West Africans for the 2018 World Cup in Russia and led them to finish third at the Africa Cup of Nations in Egypt last year.<\/p>\n<p>The 66-year-old stated he is focused on his job and ready to continue in his role but vowed not to beg the NFF for a new deal.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI will not ask the NFF what is going on with my contract renewal. It\u2019s for the NFF to approach me. I am still waiting,\u201d the BBC\u2019s Osas Obayiuwana quoted Rohr as saying.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cMy job is to focus on the Super Eagles as long as I am the coach of this team.
