President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday met with the Bayelsa State Governor, Diri Douye, at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.<\/p>\n
Douye, who told State Correspondents that President Buhari received him as \u201cone of his sons,\u201d said he was in Aso Rock to greet the President and formally present himself to him as the father of the nation.<\/p>\n
The governor said the visit to the President was his first since his February 14 inauguration.<\/p>\n
He said: \u201cSince my inauguration, this is the first time I have come to see Mr. President and to promise to work with the Federal Government for the security and peace of the nation.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe received me as one of his sons.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe advised me and said he is happy that I came to the Villa. The President also said he is happy with the way I started.<\/p>\n
