Mr. Adamu Mohammad, elder brother to Gov. Bala Mohammad of Bauchi State, has been released by kidnappers.<\/p>\n
He was abducted last month.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST had reported that unknown armed gunmen on March 25 abducted Adamu at about 7:30 p.m, at a tailoring shop in Unguwar Jaki area of Bauchi State<\/p>\n
The State Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) DSP Kamal Abubakar, who confirmed the release to the News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) said the victim was released by his captors on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
Abubakar further stated that he was not aware if any ransom was paid for his release.<\/p>\n
\u201dI am not aware of any ransom but from the information available with me, it is confirmed that Mohammad has been released and reunited with his family,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n
But, when contacted a neighbour to the kidnapped victim, one Mr Ardo Hazzad, told NAN that the victim came home on commercial motorcycle hale and hearty.<\/p>\n
He said his family members were so emotional when they saw him.<\/p>\n
\u201cYes he has been released; we were so surprised because he came on commercial motorcycle locally called \u201cAchaba\u201d.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe are friends, I was there with him and his family, we took pictures together and he is doing very fine,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
