{"id":24552,"date":"2020-04-30T15:49:48","date_gmt":"2020-04-30T15:49:48","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=24552"},"modified":"2020-04-30T15:49:48","modified_gmt":"2020-04-30T15:49:48","slug":"bauchi-lawmaker-supports-state-govt-donates-700-bags-of-rice","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/bauchi-lawmaker-supports-state-govt-donates-700-bags-of-rice","title":{"rendered":"Bauchi lawmaker supports state govt, donates 700 bags of rice"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p>The Member representing Ningi\/ Warji federal constituency of Bauchi State Honourable Abdullahi Sa\u2019ad Abdulkadir has distributed 700 bags of rice, sugar, and gallons of oil to two local governments in the state to cushion their hardships during the fasting month of Ramadan.<\/p>\n<p>Distributing the food items on Thursday, the lawmaker said the gesture was also meant to encourage the beneficiaries to stay at home as part of the social distancing policy aimed at containing the spread of coronavirus in the constituency.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI want people to know that we cannot feed everyone looking at the size of this constituency, I, therefore, appeal to every well to do people to also contribute their quota in helping the less privileged ones.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThese bags of Rice, Sugar and some gallons of vegetable oil will be shared across all polling units in the two local governments\u201d.
