According to the Cameroon Petroleum Depot Corporation (SCDP), the Nigerian trader Sahara Energy has, at the request of the State, chartered in the first quarter, mother ships (large oil tankers) permanently off Douala and two daughter ships (small coasters) in connection with the import of fuels into Cameroon.<\/p>\n

The ships chartered by Sahara Enbergy then proceeded to \u201cShip to Ship\u201d operations: shuttles made by the daughter ships between the open sea, to recover the product from the mother ship, and the quay for unloading petroleum products. In total, indicate the SCDP, 13 ships were unloaded according to the new mode of supply of petroleum products, including 8 from the \u201cShip to Ship\u201d and 5 others came in Lom\u00e9 Offshore always on behalf of the same trader.<\/p>\n

Following the fire of the National Refining Company (Sonara) on the night of May 31 to June 1, 2019 and in order to ensure the traceability and stability of the prices of petroleum products, the State of Cameroon launched a called for competition and selected traders, including Sahara Energy, for quarterly orders-deliveries of around 300 million liters of fuel.
