The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Ondo State said it would gladly receive embattled Ondo Deputy Governor Ajayi Agboola into its fold.<\/p>\n
It however said there was no automatic ticket for the Deputy Governor.<\/p>\n
There were reports at the weekend that some Governors have brokered a deal with Agboola with a view to fielding him as candidate of the PDP against Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu.<\/p>\n
Some sources said the deal was sealed by the National Working Committee of the PDP and facilitated by two PDP governors (from North west and south south respectively).<\/p>\n
But the Ondo chapter of the PDP, in a statement by its Publicity Secretary, Mr. Zadok Akintoye, assured all PDP governorship aspirants the party does not have a preferred candidate and would ensure level playing field to all aspirants or intending aspirant.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
