The President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.), has condoled with the family and friends of the former Group Managing Director of the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation, Dr Maikanti Baru.<\/p>\n

In a statement by his Special Adviser on Media and Publicity, Femi Adesina, he also commiserated with the government and people of Bauchi State, as well as management and staff of NNPC over Baru\u2019s demise.<\/p>\n

The retired major general said the former GMD worked \u201cvery hard\u201d and initiated \u201creforms in virtually all departments of the corporation\u201d, bringing it up to speed with global trends and best practices.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
