President Muhammadu Buhari has ordered an investigation into last Thursday\u2019s reported incident, in which gunshots were reportedly fired around the State House.<\/p>\n
The Presidency, in a statement on Sunday, while revealing President Buhari\u2019s reaction to the incident, also noted that the incident never took place within the walls of the State House and did not portend any danger to both the safety and health of the President.<\/p>\n
The Presidency, in a statement by the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media and Publicity, Mallam Garba Shehu, also said President Buhari would allow the law to run its course on the matter.<\/p>\n
It, however, expressed disappointment over the sentiment being woven around the incident by the opposition, especially for using it to justify its attack on the government.<\/p>\n
