The Federal Government has warned Nigerians that the figures of COVID-19 cases in the country will rise and overwhelm the health infrastructures.<\/p>\n
It said people are becoming careless following the lifting of lockdown, adding that it (the government) is no longer a frontliner in the fight against the virus.<\/p>\n
The Government said that it is now left for the citizens to determine whether Nigeria will reach its peak or not.<\/p>\n
Boss Mustapha, Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, said this in Abuja yesterday at the daily press briefing<\/p>\n
\u201cIf you listen to me conscientiously in the past four weeks, I\u2019ve spoken about personal responsibility,\u201d the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, said.<\/p>\n
\u201cWe\u2019re not your frontliners any more. The choice of whether you\u2019ll get to the hospital is yours.\u201d<\/p>\n
Mustapha pointed out that it has got to a stage where no amount of enforcement will help stop the spread.<\/p>\n
The PTF Chairman said it is now the choices made by the people that will determine what will happen next.<\/p>\n
According to him, the people are the only ones that can work assiduously to ensure that the level of transmission is reduced now that it has gone into communities spreading.<\/p>\n
