Nigeria under-23 international Umar Sadiq has commented on the reports linking him with English giants Manchester United.<\/p>\n
The towering striker has netted 17 goals and provided 16 assists across all competitions for Serbian giants FK Partizan this season.<\/p>\n
Sadiq\u2019s impressive form has seen him been linked with top European clubs including United, who are three-time UEFA Champions League winners.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s a big compliment for me as a player, but believe me, nothing is accidental,\u201d Sadiq told Republika.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn Partizan, we work thoroughly before every game and not only when we talk about tactics and video analysis, but also about the human relationship. Whether it is Chief Milosevic or someone else from the expert staff, they are always there for us<\/p>\n
\u201cPartizan helped me a lot in my career, I found my way and now I just follow what they ask of me. I think this is just the beginning of my success, and the motivation is there.\u201d<\/p>\n
Sadiq was part of the Partizan team which was eliminated from this season\u2019s UEFA Europa League by United.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs for Manchester United, I think that they were surprised by our game in Belgrade and that is why they played the best team during the visit, which was not the case afterwards. That speaks enough about respect for Partizan,\u201d he added.<\/p>\n
The 23-year-old player was named in Nigeria\u2019s final 18-man squad for the 2016 Summer Olympics.<\/p>\n
