All Progressives Congress (APC) Committee for Edo Governorship Primary Election has commended the peaceful process of the direct primaries across the state.<\/p>\n

The Secretary, Sen. Ajibola Basiru, gave the reaction in a statement on Monday in Benin.<\/p>\n

He advised the public to disregard results being circulated on social media.<\/p>\n

The Senator confirmed that voting has been concluded in some local government areas and that results will be announced at the state collation centre.<\/p>\n

Basiru noted that results \u201cflying about\u201d should not be taken seriously.<\/p>\n

\u201cOnly authenticated results by the electoral committee at the end of the exercise will suffice. So far the exercise has been peaceful and COVID-19 regulations compliant,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
