{"id":27402,"date":"2020-07-15T15:29:30","date_gmt":"2020-07-15T15:29:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=27402"},"modified":"2020-07-15T15:29:30","modified_gmt":"2020-07-15T15:29:30","slug":"magu-not-under-police-detention-igp","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/magu-not-under-police-detention-igp","title":{"rendered":"Magu not under police detention \u2013 IGP"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p>The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has said suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), CP Ibrahim Magu, is not being detained by the Police.<\/p>\n<p>Adamu said Magu is rather being detained by the Presidential Panel investigating the activities of the EFCC.<\/p>\n<p>These were contained in a letter by the Principal Staff Officer to the IGP, DCP Idowu Owohunwa, dated 14th July, 2020, and sighted by The Nation on Wednesday in Abuja.<\/p>\n<p>The letter with number CB: 7000\/IGP.SEC\/ABJ\/VOL.489\/171 was in response to an application for bail by Magu\u2019s counsel.<\/p>\n<p>Titled \u2018RE: APPLICATION FOR BAIL,\u2019 it was addressed to Tosin Ojaomo Esq, Ojaomo &amp; Ojaomo Chambers, Abuja.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria: The Inspector General of Police, IGP Mohammed Adamu, has said suspended Acting Chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), CP Ibrahim Magu, is not being detained by the Police.
