{"id":27483,"date":"2020-07-17T20:24:56","date_gmt":"2020-07-17T20:24:56","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=27483"},"modified":"2020-07-17T20:24:56","modified_gmt":"2020-07-17T20:24:56","slug":"saraki-reacts-as-court-orders-fg-to-return-his-property","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/saraki-reacts-as-court-orders-fg-to-return-his-property","title":{"rendered":"Saraki reacts as court orders FG to return his property"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p>Former Senate President, Bukola Saraki, has said the suspended acting chairman of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC), Ibrahim Magu, took the refusal of the Senate to confirm him personal.<\/p>\n<p>Saraki revealed this in a reaction to a court order on Thursday, which directed the federal government to return his houses in Kwara State to him.<\/p>\n<p>The court had granted an interim order of forfeiture following an application by the EFCC.<\/p>\n<p>The 8th Senate led by Saraki rejected Magu\u2019s nomination twice, based on a security report by the Department of State Services (DSS).<\/p>\n<p>Magu is now being investigated for allegedly mismanaging recovered funds from looters by the anti-graft agency.<\/p>\n<p>In a statement, Saraki said: \u201cToday, as always, I thank Almighty Allah as I welcome the judgement of the Federal High Court, Lagos, by the Honorable Justice Rilwan M.
