Massive protest was yesterday witnessed in Zangon Kataf Local Government Area and the Abuja unity fountain over unabated killings of locals in the Southern part of Kaduna state.<\/p>\n
Some indigenous youths from Kaduna State under the auspices of Southern Kaduna Volunteer Youths Forum, staged a peace protest in Abuja, calling on President Muhammad Buhari and Governor Nasir El-rufai of Kaduna state to put a permanent stop to the killings in Southern Kaduna.<\/p>\n
Also in Zangon Kataf, it was gathered that several women stormed the AgwaAtyap Palace and protested necked over the killings.<\/p>\n
The protests in their numbers, carried placards with inscriptions, \u2018Stop this killings\u2019, \u2018End this genocide in Southern Kaduna\u2019, \u2018We have to begin to stand, we cannot sleep forever,\u2019 \u2018We want peace,\u2019 \u2018We are human beings,\u2019 amongst other inscriptions.<\/p>\n
National Youth Leader of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union (SOKAPU), Comrade John Isaac, while speaking with journalists after the protest march, explained that they decided to stage the protest in Abuja, to let the world know what is happening in southern Kaduna.<\/p>\n
\u201cSouthern Kaduna is under heavy attack, I mean it is under highly coordinated and sophisticated attack, because the coordination is much more than one can imagine. That is why I said southern Kaduna is under heavy attack by the Fulani herdsmen and there is the need for urgent intervention from the government.<\/p>\n
