President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday held a meeting with the All Progressives Congress (APC) governors.<\/p>\n
In attendance were Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo, Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF), Boss Mustapha, Chief of Staff to the President, Ibrahim Gambari.<\/p>\n
Some of the governors were at the State House, Abuja, while others joined virtually.<\/p>\n
The meeting, it was gathered, discussed party and national issues.<\/p>\n
Meanwhile, the government has declared July 30 and 31 as public holidays to mark 2020 Eid-el-Kabir aka Sallah celebration.<\/p>\n
Minister of Interior, Rauf Aregbesola, told Muslims to continue to imbibe the spirit of love, peace, kindness and sacrifice, as exemplified by the Holy Prophet Muhammad.<\/p>\n
The minister reminded them to use the period to pray for peace, unity, prosperity and the stability of the country amid COVID-19.<\/p>\n
He reiterated the commitment of the Buhari administration to battle the pandemic and appealed to Nigerians to help stop the spread of the coronavirus.<\/p>\n
