Femi Fani-Kayode, a former Minister of Aviation, has given \u201creal reasons\u201d why the presidential candidate of All Progressives Congress, APC, President Muhammadu Buhari was absent at the presidential debate on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

DAILY POST earlier reported that President Buhari, candidate of the All Progressives Congress (APC) and his Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, counterpart, Atiku Abubakar, shunned the event which held at the Transcorp Hilton, Abuja on Saturday night.<\/p>\n

While Atiku had in a statement blamed Buhari\u2019s absence as his reason for boycotting the debate, the APC candidate, Buhari said he was absent due to his tight schedule.<\/p>\n

But, Fani-Kayode, reacting in a tweet, described Buhari as a \u201ccoward\u2019\u2019 for shunning the debate while citing what according to him are real reasons why the President, was absent.<\/p>\n

According to the former minister, Buhari missed the debate because \u201che has lost his mind and memory and didn\u2019t want to appear in his vegetative state.\u201c<\/p>\n

Fani-Kayode, while highlighting other reasons, wrote: \u201cIt\u2019s a pity that the two leading candidates did not participate in the presidential debate this evening. Buhari is nothing but a coward. He is running scared because he is incapable of expressing himself let alone understanding the issues or defending his record in office.<\/p>\n
