{"id":29295,"date":"2020-08-29T14:13:26","date_gmt":"2020-08-29T14:13:26","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=29295"},"modified":"2020-08-29T14:13:26","modified_gmt":"2020-08-29T14:13:26","slug":"rmafc-efcc-go-after-government-agencies","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/rmafc-efcc-go-after-government-agencies","title":{"rendered":"RMAFC, EFCC go after government agencies"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria:<\/p>\n<p>Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has announced partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).<\/p>\n<p>RMAFC explained that the collaboration would ensure recovery of unremitted revenue accruable to the federation account.<\/p>\n<p>The Chairman, Elias Mbam, spoke on Friday when he visited the acting Chairman of the EFCC, Mohammed Umar.<\/p>\n<p>The partnership would be on monitoring the agencies and blocking leakages.<\/p>\n<p>Christian Nwachukwu, RMAFC Public Relations Officer, in a statement said Mbam urged revenue generating and collecting agencies to deliver.<\/p>\n<p>Mbam noted that with dwindling revenue caused by the global oil crisis, more funds were needed in the federal purse.<\/p>\n<p>Umar, in his remarks, assured of EFCC\u2019s readiness to support the RMAFC,<\/p>\n<p>He told Mbam to forward specific areas of concentration ahead of the working synergy.<\/p>\n<nav class=\"jp-relatedposts-i2\" data-layout=\"list\">\n<div class=\"jp-related-posts-i2__row\" data-post-count=\"3\"><\/div>\n<\/nav>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa Press-Nigeria: Revenue Mobilisation Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC) has announced partnership with the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC).
