{"id":30289,"date":"2020-09-23T17:36:29","date_gmt":"2020-09-23T17:36:29","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=30289"},"modified":"2020-09-23T17:36:29","modified_gmt":"2020-09-23T17:36:29","slug":"kano-anti-corruption-body-recovers-n7-15m-diverted-in-kano-agric-ministry","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/all-news\/kano-anti-corruption-body-recovers-n7-15m-diverted-in-kano-agric-ministry","title":{"rendered":"Kano anti corruption body recovers N7.15m diverted in Kano Agric Ministry"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>The Kano Public Complaints and Anti Corruption body has recovered over Seven million naira diverted from the State Ministry of Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>Already the Commission has quizzed the Ministry\u2019s Permanent Secretary and indicted top officials of the Ministry over the alleged Fraud.<\/p>\n<p>However, the anti Corruption body denied launching Investigation into the Financial activities of the State Deputy Governor, Dr Nasiru Gawuna who doubles as the State Commissioner for Agriculture.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission cleared that Investigation into the Ministry of Agriculture involved only some staff of the Ministry and not the Deputy Governor as portrayed.<\/p>\n<p>The Commission said it invited the Permanent Secretary, Director Livestock and other staff of the Ministry over the investigation of the financial activities of the ministry.<\/p>\n<p>It alleged that the offence under investigation contradicts Section 26 of the Kano State Public Complaints and Anti-Corruption Commission Law 2008 (as amended) and recovery of N 7,150,000.00 has so far been made.<\/p>\n<div class=\"amp-wp-a48e09f\" data-amp-original-style=\"clear:both; margin-top:0em; margin-bottom:1em;\"><\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>The Kano Public Complaints and Anti Corruption body has recovered over Seven million naira diverted from the State Ministry of Agriculture.
