Ba N\u2019Daou, Mali\u2019s former Defence Minister, has been sworn in as President of the transition government.<\/p>\n

Colonel Assimi Goita was sworn in as Vice President.<\/p>\n

Goita heads the National Committee for the Salvation of the People (CNSP) that ousted President Ibrahim Boubacar Keita on August 18.<\/p>\n

The emergence of N\u2019Daou and Goita was announced on Monday.<\/p>\n

They will lead Mali until the election of a new administration.<\/p>\n

Former President of Nigeria, Goodluck Jonathan, was in attendance.<\/p>\n
