The Governor of River State, Nyesom Wike has said that he isn\u2019t against the End SARS movement which is taking place across different states in the country.<\/p>\n
DAILY POST recalls that Wike in a statement by Paulinus Nsirim, the Commissioner for Information and Communications in the State, on Monday banned the EndSARS protest which is to take place today, Tuesday, October 13, 2020.<\/p>\n
According to him, the decision to ban the proposed protest follows the scrapping of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad by Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector General of Police on Sunday<\/p>\n
However, after a series of backlash from people across the country the Governor in a tweet via his Twitter account on Tuesday evening said he wasn\u2019t against the SARS movement.<\/p>\n
According to him, he wants and supports a total reform of the Nigerian police force.<\/p>\n
