The United Nations (UN) on Tuesday appealed to End SARS protesters to remain peaceful.<\/p>\n
Edward Kallon, UN Resident Coordinator in Nigeria, made the appeal via his Twitter account.<\/p>\n
The world body reiterated its support for Nigeria\u2019s solidity.<\/p>\n
UN commended the preparedness of the federal government to effect reforms.<\/p>\n
The organization, however, noted that the process may take time.<\/p>\n
\u201cI have followed the developments regarding #EndSARS movement. Government\u2019s commitment to dismantle the outfit & reform the @PoliceNG is welcome.<\/p>\n
\u201cThe process may take time. I appeal to the youth to remain peaceful. The @UN is committed to supporting Nigeria\u2019s continued stability\u201d, Kallon tweeted.<\/p>\n
Nigerian authorities, earlier accused of attempting to disrupt the End SARS protests, approved campaigners\u2019 demands on Tuesday.<\/p>\n
