Two persons whose identify is yet to be known were on Thursday crushed to death by a petrol-laden truck at Ureje, along the ever busy Ado-Ijan-Ikare road in Ado-Ekiti, the state capital.<\/p>\n

The accident which involved a truck and a motorcycle, caused traffic snarl on the on the road linking the state capital to Kogi and Ondo States.<\/p>\n

Eye witnesses said the incident occurred when a bag of corn being conveyed by the victims mistakenly hooked on the edge of the truck while on motion.<\/p>\n

They added that the motorcycle instantly fell under the truck and it ran through the two occupants, leading to their death on spot.<\/p>\n

The gory scene saw their skull and brains scattered on the road in the pool of blood.<\/p>\n

Sympathizers in the neighbourhood who heard the loud bang of the collision between the petrol-laden tanker and the motorcycle, rushed to the scene to see if a life could be saved, but to no avail.<\/p>\n

It was gathered that operatives of the Nigeria police from Odo Ado Division quickly rushed to the scene to saved the driver and the truck from being set ablaze.<\/p>\n

Officials of the state Fire Service who got wind of the incident later came to remove the corpses, under supervision of the police, for onward deposition in the morgue.<\/p>\n
