{"id":33214,"date":"2020-12-07T19:19:30","date_gmt":"2020-12-07T19:19:30","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\/?p=33214"},"modified":"2020-12-07T19:19:30","modified_gmt":"2020-12-07T19:19:30","slug":"apc-wants-ikpeazu-to-sack-chief-of-staff-suspended-for-spraying-prophet-with-money","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/parties\/apc-wants-ikpeazu-to-sack-chief-of-staff-suspended-for-spraying-prophet-with-money","title":{"rendered":"APC wants Ikpeazu to sack Chief of Staff suspended for spraying prophet with money"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.com\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The All Progressives Congress (APC) has reacted to the viral video showing Governor Okezie Ikpeazu\u2019s chief of staff, Anthony Agbazuere, spraying money on a controversial self-acclaimed prophet.<\/p>\n<p>The party said the suspended chief of staff, Agbazuere, should be punished with dismissal and that the governor should apologise to the state for the development.<\/p>\n<p>A viral video on social media had shown Ikpeazu\u2019s Chief of Staff spraying money on a self-acclaimed prophet, Dr. Chukwuemeka Ohanaemere popularly known as Odumeje.<\/p>\n<p>Governor Ikpeazu had in a statement on Sunday through Chris Ezem, the Secretary to the State Government, announced the immediate suspension of Agbazuere.<\/p>\n<p>But in a statement later on Sunday through its chapter publicity secretary, the APC in Abia said the suspension handed to governor Ikpeazu\u2019s chief of staff was not enough.<\/p>\n<p><b>READ ALSO: Abia governor suspends chief of staff for spraying money on pastor<\/b><\/p>\n<p>The APC said it received the news of the suspension of Ikpeazu\u2019s Chief of staff with surprise because \u201cthe action that led to the suspension demands that he should be sacked immediately.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The statement read in part, \u201cWe\u2019ve been complaining about the irrationality of the officials of this PDP-led administration, but people don\u2019t understand. What our people saw in the video is just the tip of the iceberg to their squandermania nature.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cWhat the Chief of Staff to Governor Okezie Ikpeazu did was a huge slap on the faces of Abia health workers and other government workers that are being owed backlogs of salaries.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cThe Chief of Staff has money to throw around while our roads are now death traps? What manner of wickedness is this?
