Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>No fewer than 600 out of the 800 students of the Government Science Secondary School, Kankara in Katsina State have been declared missing.<\/p>\n

The students were reported missing after an attack by armed bandits on the school, Friday night.<\/p>\n

A school teacher who confirmed the incident said the bandits launched the attack shortly after prep classes at 9:30pm.<\/p>\n

The bandits reportedly shot sporadically in the air, causing commotion and stampede before scaling over the fence and breaking the school gate.<\/p>\n

Confirming the incident, the spokesman for the Katsina State Police Command, DSP Gambo Isa, said a policeman sustained a gun injury when officers engaged the bandits.<\/p>\n
