Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Popular Nigerian singer, Ikuforoji Abdulrahman Olaitan, popularly known as Oxlade, has said \u2018Headies award\u2019 is not a priority to his career.<\/p>\n

Oxlade said this during an interview with BBC Pidgin.<\/p>\n

The \u2018Away\u2019 crooner was nominated alongside Tems, Omah Lay, and Bella Schmuda for next rated 2020 award.<\/p>\n

However, he noted that Headies is just one of the things that motivate artists but certainly not a priority for him.<\/p>\n

He said: \u201cHeadies is not a priority, If I win or earn it I\u2019m grateful but I do not see it as priority for my career.<\/p>\n

\u201cI just see it as one of those things that motivates you especially when you\u2019re trying to make it in the industry.\u201d<\/p>\n
