Why Chelsea letting Victor Moses go is a big mistake<\/h3>\n

When Victor Moses first arrived at\u00a0Chelsea<\/a>, the mood at the Stamford Bridge wasn\u2019t one of excitement but instead, it was shocking. Few fans expected the Nigerian star to make the move across from Wigan Athletic, with the 28-year old making multiple loan moves since then.<\/p>\n

However, while a loan spell is a rite of passage at Chelsea, eventually Moses became a regular, under both Jose Mourinho and Antonio Conte.<\/p>\n

It was there that the 28-year-old really showed his skills as a versatile winger\/right-wing-back\/right-back, thanks to an excellent mix of athleticism and defensive acumen. All that combined together with tactics suited perfectly for Moses made him a star in the Chelsea team. Soon he won adoration and titles alike from critics, fans and was even among Chelsea\u2019s best players.<\/p>\n

The Nigerian made 128 appearances before falling short under new manager Maurizio Sarri. The former Napoli boss did not rate the 28-year-old.<\/p>\n

This combined with a few other unknown factors saw Moses make only five appearances this season, before leaving for a one and a half year loan spell at Fenerbahce, according to\u00a0the BBC<\/a>.<\/p>\n

That has effectively ended his career in the Premier League, with a potential permanent move possible in the near future. But have the Blues made a massive mistake in letting this versatile player go?<\/p>\n

Capable of playing as a right-winger, left-winger, right-back, left-back, number 10 and even as a centre-forward, Moses has been called a utility man at times. That\u2019s because he\u2019s willing to sacrifice everything for the team and has done so on more than one occasion.<\/p>\n

At the moment, Chelsea have Willian, who\u2019s 30 years old, Pedro, who\u2019s 31. While they\u2019ve brought in Christian Pulisic in the interim, Sarri and company need a speedy and versatile winger.
