Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>A former Kogi West senator, Dino Melaye, has asked Nigerians not to celebrate the announcement of the new service chiefs yet.<\/p>\n

President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday announced the retirement of the former service chiefs and their replacement with new ones.<\/p>\n

The development came after consistent calls from different quarters, including the National Assembly, for the president to sack the former service chiefs over worsening insecurity in the country.<\/p>\n

Their eventual removal on Tuesday saw some Nigerians applauding Buhari.<\/p>\n

But Melaye, in a post on his official Twitter handle Tuesday night told Nigerians:<\/p>\n

\u201cDont shout Hallelujah or Alhamdulilihi for the locomotive announcement of new service chiefs. Not Uhuru yet. Shine your eyes Nigerians.\u201d<\/p>\n
