{"id":36878,"date":"2021-02-10T19:14:18","date_gmt":"2021-02-10T19:14:18","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/?p=36878"},"modified":"2021-02-10T16:07:30","modified_gmt":"2021-02-10T16:07:30","slug":"alleged-fake-documents-parents-man-united-winger-amad-diallo-fined-42000","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\/sport\/alleged-fake-documents-parents-man-united-winger-amad-diallo-fined-42000","title":{"rendered":"Alleged fake documents, parents: Man United winger, Amad Diallo fined \u00a342,000"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><span style=\"color: #ff6600\"><strong><a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/\">Africa-Press<\/a> &#8211; <a href=\"https:\/\/www.africa-press.net\/nigeria\">Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Manchester United winger, Amad Diallo, has been fined \u00a342,000 in Italy over allegations he used fake documents and false parents to move to Europe from Ivory Coast.<\/p>\n<p>Diallo was in the Man United\u2019s squad for the first time for Tuesday night\u2019s FA Cup fifth-round 1-0 win against West Ham following his \u00a337million move from Atalanta last month.<\/p>\n<p>The FIGC, Italian football\u2019s governing body, has handed out the fine after Diallo and his brother, Hamed, who plays for Serie A side, Sassuolo, accepted a plea bargain to avoid a ban.<\/p>\n<p>A statement said that both Diallo and Hamed used \u201cfalse certifications that had allowed them to reunite in Italy with fictitious parents\u201d.<\/p>\n<p>It added: \u201cThe two requested \u2018the application of the sanction pursuant to art. 126 of the Code of Sports Justice\u2019, that is, the plea bargain: the Federal Prosecutor\u2019s Office has thus imposed a penalty of 48 thousand euros for Amad Diallo and another 48 thousand euros for Hamed Traore.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>The false documents were said to have been used so Diallo, 18, could sign for junior club Boca Barco in 2015 and Atlanta three years later.<\/p>\n<p>It\u2019s also alleged that Amad Diallo Traore was not the player\u2019s real name and Hamed may not even be his brother.<\/p>\n<p>Meanwhile, Diallo dropped the name Traore on his 18th birthday last July and legally changed it to Diallo in September.<\/p>\n<p>He also decided to have Amad on the back of his shirt at Man United.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Africa-Press &#8211; Nigeria.
