Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Chelsea boss, Thomas Tuchel has said it does not matter whether he signs a long or short term contract, adding that the club will still sack him if they don\u2019t like him.<\/p>\n

Tuchel led Chelsea to a 1-0 win against Atletico Madrid in the Champions League last 16 first leg in Spain on Tuesday night.<\/p>\n

The victory means that the German has not tasted defeat as the Blues manager.<\/p>\n

The former Paris Saint-Germain manager also revealed that the board of the former Premier League and Champions League holders are demanding that he plays and gets the best out of their two expensive players Kai Havertz and Timo Werner.<\/p>\n

Asked about his short term contract, the German said, \u201cIt affects me, but in a very positive way,\u201d Tuchel told Ferdinand 5 Live podcast.<\/p>\n

\u201cI didn\u2019t like it at first, but after only a matter of minutes, I realised \u2018what does it change anyway?\u2019 If they don\u2019t like me, they will sack me even if I have a five-year contract!\u201d<\/p>\n

Havertz and Werner arrived at Chelsea last summer with high expectations but they have yet to really show their full potential.<\/p>\n

Asked if the Blues board wants more of the players on the field, the former Borussia Dortmund manager said, \u201cThe club demands a lot of [Werner and Havertz], and I can understand,\u201d said Tuchel.<\/p>\n
