Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Manchester United defender, Eric Bailly, has said Barcelona\u2019s Lionel Messi and Juventus\u2019s Cristiano Ronaldo are not the best footballers ever.<\/p>\n

Instead, Bailly says Sergio Ramos, who is currently the captain of Real Madrid, deserves that title.<\/p>\n

In an interview with Spanish expert, Guillem Balague\u2019s YouTube channel, the Ivory Coast centre-back revealed his affection for Ramos, who turns 35 next month.<\/p>\n

\u201cMy greatest inspiration has always been Ramos,\u201d Bailly said.<\/p>\n

\u201cI have admired him for a long time because of what he does in football and how he keeps going at a high level.<\/p>\n

\u201cFor me, he\u2019s one of the best players in the history of football. Everyone has an opinion, but he is one of the best, the perfect reference point for me.\u201d<\/p>\n

When quizzed on whether it is Lionel Messi or Cristiano Ronaldo as the world\u2019s best, Bailly laughed: \u201cIf you ask me, Messi or Ronaldo, I would say Ramos.\u201d<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, Ramos missed Real Madrid\u2019s 1-0 victory in the Champions League against Atalanta on Wednesday night.<\/p>\n
