Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Minister of Works and Housing, Babatunde Fashola, on Thursday, assured that the Third Mainland Bridge in Lagos State undergoing repairs would be totally reopened to traffic \u2018\u2019this weekend\u2019\u2019.<\/p>\n

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Fashola gave the assurance during a radio phone-in programme.<\/p>\n

\u201cI can tell you now that this weekend, it will be opened definitely; my directors are still in Lagos; the major works have now been finished, so let me say that again by way of information.<\/p>\n

\u201cDefinitely this weekend it will be reopened. I will announce the date toward Friday and the reason I am holding back the exact date is that we are government.<\/p>\n

\u201cAny time we say something, people must reliably be able to plan their lives around what we say,\u2019\u2019 he said.<\/p>\n
