Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, Mr Boss Mustapha, has confirmed that Nigeria will on Tuesday, March 2, receive the first batch of the coronavirus vaccines.<\/p>\n

Mustapha, who is also the chairman, Presidential Task Force on COVID-19, made the disclosure to newsmen on Saturday in Abuja, NAN reports.<\/p>\n

\u201cNigeria is set to receive its first four million shipment of COVID-19 vaccines from COVAX.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe vaccines should depart India on March 1, 2021 in the night and arrive Abuja on the 2nd of March, 2021, \u201d he said.<\/p>\n

Recall that the Federal government had earlier announced that the first four million doses of the vaccines would arrive the country by the end of February.<\/p>\n

Mustapha, while evaluating the county\u2019s response to COVID-19 in the past one year said the PTF had performed \u201cvery well\u2019\u2019 with a very robust national response.<\/p>\n

He also praised Nigeria\u2019s health workers and the various frontline workers for working hard to combat the coronavirus pandemic.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
