Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>The Federal Government has maintained that Nigerians who received the COVID-19 vaccine abroad will still be tested upon arriving in the country.<\/p>\n

Minister of State for Health, Olorunnimbe Mamora said this during an interview on the Channels Television program on Monday.<\/p>\n

Mamora explained that getting vaccinated does not mean that one can not get the infection.<\/p>\n

According to him, those who received the vaccine abroad need to produce evidence of taking the test within the estimated time limit when they come into the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey need to produce evidence of taking a PCR test within the estimated time limit when they come into the country.<\/p>\n

\u201cAlso, having been vaccinated does not absolutely say that you can\u2019t get the infection. What the vaccine guarantees are that if you get the infection, you are not likely to succumb.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe fact that you got a vaccine is no license for you to down your guard. These things we have said will still be in place in terms of non-pharmaceutical interventions,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
