Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Governor Ben Ayade of Cross River State has heaped curses on politicians who refuse to perform in their respective constituencies in the state.<\/p>\n

The Governor who was speaking at the Flag Off of enrolment into the states\u2019 Basic Health Care Provision Fund (BHCPF) said, \u201cAfter donations of their Keke, they pay millions to national television to advertise instead of spending the money for the people<\/p>\n

Gov Ayade who was visibly angry said the money politicians spend on buying Keke and motorcycles for constituents should have been used for a health insurance scheme for the people\u201d.<\/p>\n

\u201cLet the politician show us what they have done for the people, stop abusing the poverty of the people, when the election comes you look for something to entice the people\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen these people have accidents, they don\u2019t have health insurance, Politicians have no conscience, I challenge national assembly members to show the report card of what they have done.<\/p>\n

\u201cThey never come to Calabar until during elections; the citizens are waiting for you to tell us what they have done. We have 196 wards in the state and we shall have a problem of driving 196 vehicles<\/p>\n

\u201cMovement of men and materials across each ward to ensure that anybody who is sick has access to primary health care, hence we shall use drones to distribute drugs and other materials there.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
