Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Former Super Eagles captain, Austin \u2018Jay Jay\u2019 Okocha, has claimed that Alex Iwobi was \u201cobliged\u201d to leave Arsenal and join Everton in 2019.<\/p>\n

Okocha, who is Iwobi\u2019s uncle, suggested the Gunners gave Iwobi no choice but to quit his boyhood club.<\/p>\n

Iwobi spent 15 years at Arsenal before his \u00a334million exit.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe move from Arsenal to Everton wasn\u2019t an easy one from him.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wasn\u2019t expecting it, it just happened.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe got a call that there\u2019s a deal for him and that he must oblige that deal, which wasn\u2019t easy for a young player who has played all his life at Arsenal.<\/p>\n
