Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Senator Uche Ekwunife formally joined the Anambra State governorship race on Tuesday.<\/p>\n

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) chieftain submitted her nomination form at the party\u2019s national secretariat in Abuja.<\/p>\n

Ekwunife said it was too late for the PDP to choose a consensus candidate.<\/p>\n

\u201cI am running to win, I don\u2019t see how consensus arrangement will work,\u201d she declared.<\/p>\n

The lawmaker expressed her conviction of beating other aspirants.<\/p>\n

Ekwunife promised to remain in the party if she doesn\u2019t win the ticket for the November 6 election.<\/p>\n

She pledged to reform the security architecture of the state and to continue to empower women if elected.<\/p>\n
