Africa-Press<\/a> – Nigeria<\/a>. <\/strong><\/span>Police in Anambra State have confirmed the release of the State\u2019s commissioner for Public Utilities, Engr Emeka Ezenwanne three days after his kidnap.<\/p>\n

Ezenwanne was kidnapped on Wednesday by gunmen who invaded Isuofia Civic center, where former Central Bank governor, Prof Soludo was holding an interactive session with youths.<\/p>\n

In a press release by the spokesperson of Anambra State Police command, DSP Toochukwu Ikenga he said, \u201cThe Anambra State Police Command today 4th April, 2021, wishes to confirm to the members of the Public, especially Ndi Anambra the safety of Engr Emeka Ezenwanne, the State Commissioner for Public Utilities.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Police, Military and other Security Agencies had mounted intense search and rescue efforts, which had closed in on his abductors, thereby forcing his release.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hon Commissioner returned home unhurt, in the early hours of today 4th April 2021.\u201d<\/p>\n
